.&&.When You're Gonna Go.&&.
Skylar made her way silently towards the back of the library, slinging her book bag over the back of her chair as she sat down at one of the tables. The library was definitely not the place she wanted to be right now, but she had research to do, and this seemed like the best place to be doing it. Sighing she got up from her seat, wondering why she had ever sat down in the first place, and walked over to one of the many bookshelves. Joy to the world, she had no clue what she should even be looking for. She gave another defeated sigh, and turned around, nearly running into someone in the process.

Alex, who had been looking for a book on World Religion, was shocked when she turned and almost ran into smone, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry" She replied. She looked at the girl saying 'Hey, don't I know you from somewhere?"

As Skye looked up, she missed the girl just in time. "Sorry! I should of been watching where I was going." She seemed to do this a lot lately, not because she was clumsy, but because she was always too absorbed in her own thoughts, that she hardly paid attention to the world around her.
She took another look at her as she spoke again, and realized she probably did know her from somewhere. Well, at least she looked vaguely familiar. But then again, maybe the faces of people were beginning to blur, with everything else. "Um, possibly. I'm not quite sure." She tilted her head to the side for a moment, signalizing that she was thinking. "Most likely I've seen you in the halls...or something?" She more of suggested than commented.

"oh it's not your fault" Alex responded, she looked at the girl for a moment and then said "Um, yeah probably" She clenched onto the book in her arms that she had finally found and then repsonded by saying "Hmm, what's your name?" she asked, extending one of her hands "I'm Alex"

"Skylar" She introduced, accepted her hand for a brief moment. She was pretty sure she wasn't going to get her homework done now, but she couldn't really say she regretted it. "Nice to meet you Alex." She finished, returning her arms in their usual crossed manner.

"Nice to meet you too Skylar" Alex lightly shook her hand and then returned her hand back to resting on the bok "Pretty name by the way" she smiled sweetly and then said 'By the way, do you have anywhere to sit and talk?This book is uber heavy"

"Thanks." She replied, returning the smile. Skylar had never liked her name when she was younger, but over the years she had grown into it, and couldn't imagine herself as being anything else. It was weird how once you had been known as something, it was difficult knowing it as something different. "Oh, yeah. Follow me." She said, leading her way back to the table which was still occupied by her book bag.

Alex followed Skylar along the way "Thanks" She repled. As soon as they reached the table, Alex sat the thick book down on the table, which made quite a loud noise. The librarian shot her an icy glare and Alex bit her lip, and said "Sorry" in a loud whisper, the librarian looked away, rolling her eyes. Alex looked over at Skylar and held in a laugh, which was quite obvious to anyone who looked at her face at that moment.

When Skylar returned her gaze from the librarian to Alex, she saw a rather familiar face. That expression seemed to appear on her own face quite often, for Skye seemed to think a lot of things were funny. But the only difference was, she was horrible at holding in laughter, and it often came out anyways. She remembered breaking a lot of silences like that.
"Tsk, tsk. Shame on you!" She said quietly, shaking her head in a mocking manner. "What grade are you in?" She asked, the though suddenly coming to her mind. It may have been a bit random, but she was wondering if maybe she had had classes with Alex.

Alex laughed a little quietly as Skylar mocked the librarian. Alec hated how teachers were that way, students had to be perfect or they were just bad seeds.
"Senior" Alex responded. She sat down in a chair at the table, and flipped open the book, she looked back up at Skylar for the moment.

Skye knew she was hopeless in finding what she had came for, so instead of getting a book, she sat down on the opposite side of the table. "Oh, I'm a junior." She added, playing with the bracelet on her wrist. That eliminated that idea, so she was pretty sure she had just seen her in the halls.

"Oh sweet" Alex smiled, she looked straight ahead, making eye contact with Skylar now, as she spoke to her. "So how are you liking your junior year so far? I'm glad to be a senior, only one more year!"she said enthusiastically with a smile.

"Eh, I guess. It's really no different from the other years." Her tone way less enthusiastic than Alex's. Not that she hated school or anything, but it bored her, a lot. "Lucky you. I wish I was a senior." Well, she did, but at the same time she didn't. No matter how boring school was, she just didn't really think she was ready to graduate. High school was just one step away from pure reality. Way to be optimistic.

"It's pretty cool, I'm just phsyced for college, I got early admittance to UCLA" Alex repsonded "A full scholarship for my grades" She smiled. "I guess that's why it's important to keep your grades up" she shrugged.

"Wow, that's great. Congratulations." Skylar said, smiling again. Just then she realized, she had no idea really what she was going to do after graduation. Maybe she was glad she still had two years afterall. "So do you know what you're going to do yet?" She asked, looking back up from her own wrist.
