IF YOU WANT ME TO FALL FOR YOU
Alexis hurriedly strode down the cement path and entered the sliding doors of St. Monica's Memorial Hospital. She was greeted by the familiar doctor-smell of the place and the comfortable busy talk of passing nurses and doctors. How long had it been since she first applied for a job here? Ah, yes... approximately a month ago, two months after she moved here. You can say she's accustomed to the town and knows her way around, but still, she doesn't get out much, and keeps to herself most of the time. Now, as she pushed through the flapping gate into the information center in the middle of the hospital, Alex smiled to her co-worker and gently placed her tote down next to her chair while having a seat. The phone beside her computer monitor rang then, and she instantly picked it up and glanced at her co-worker, signaling that she got it. "Hello, St. Monica's Memorial Hospital. How may I help you?" She greeted politely, then paused while listening. "Oh! Hi, Mrs. Lane." She turned to her computer screen now, quickly typing in the patient's name and then checking up on the history. "Ah, yes... Your results should be in by tomorrow morning; is that alright for you?" Another pause. Yes, of course. You're welcome; buh-bye.
GIVE ME SOMETHING TO TRIP OVER & I'LL FALL
With that, she clicked the phone off and replaced it to its holder, then pulling open the drawer to pull out a packet to update into the system while attempting to tuck her bangs behind her ear. Several minutes later, Alex finally finished typing in the new information into the hospital's records and sat back with a sigh. She logged on to Myspace for a few minutes, but then grew bored and merely doodled on a sheet of white paper. It had been an easy, laid-back day, which was odd, considering how she usually had to work extra hard in order to finish in time to go home. Her rich brown hair fell over her shoulders, and the lock that was hurriedly tucked behind her right ear slowly draped down across her cheek again. Still, she doodled, scribbling random hearts, stars, and words. The phone rang occasionally, but her co-worker was also bored and sprang to the chance of something to do. The hospital was generally slow and steady today; therefore, Allie herself was left with just her daydreaming and imagination. It was just too bad that no one was there to save her from her reverie.
YOU BETTER BE THERE TO CATCH ME, THOUGH

Alessandra walked into the hospital. She wasn’t running late she just had a different time clock in than Alexis, since she was working in the admitting section for a while. She liked to be around people especially kids. She rolled her eyes as she walked in a bit, she dropped her bags to the floor as she walked behind the front desk with a heavy sigh.
She put down her hazelnut coffee and pulled out her chair and sat down and signed in on the computer to do clock in kind of. She turned over to Alexis as she got off the phone “Hey” She said with a smile.
She tunred back to the computer for like a second and sighned on her AIM account and myspace and then turned back to Alexis as she took a sip of her coffee.

IF I HAD A TICKET TO HEAVEN & YOU DIDN'T HAVE ONE TOO
Lexi looked up from her doodling to see Alessandra Tisdale, another co-worker, enter St. Monica's Memorial Hospital. A soft smile was sent to her acquaintance, and she then glanced at an approaching nurse, wondering what it was that caused the frown on her face. Turns out there was a patient who needed to take on a surgery, and his record had to be entered into the computer system as well. Alexis took the packet with a nod and tucked her hair behind her ear and shuffled through the papers, briefly getting an idea of the man's history and past experiences here at the hospital. She bit her lip once and then turned to the computer screen once again, steadily typing in the blanks and being sure to save after every other fill-in. As Alessandra entered the main desk, Allie placed the form on a neat pile of others on the counter and turned her attention to the newcomer. "Heya." She responded with a bright smile, then checking her watch for the time. It was about noon-ish, but the air-conditioning in the building made it a bit chillier than outside."How has your day been so far?" She asked with a curious tilt of her head. It had been about five hours since she had awoken up to go to work, and she was interested in what had been going about in town for the past few days.

Alessandra looked up from the computer “Umm I guess my day has been ok so far…just a little drama” She said with a slight giggle. But she guessed that was part of being friends with Emily, she just needed to accepted it..she guessed. She looked around her desk frantically for file she had yesterday. She sighed and rolled her chair out and being the klutz she was and almost so out of it. She bumped into some doctor, she apologized and got up and found the file. Of course one of those little bitchy nurses had taken it. She sighed and went back to her seat as she swung around to the computer placing her feet under it she looked over at Lexi “So how was your day?” She asked back

DREAM AS IF YOU'LL LIVE FOREVER
Alexis rose a curious eyebrow at the report of Alessandra's day. A little drama, huh? I wonder what that could be... She chuckled softly and sighed, slowly turning her chair to face her bag. Her hands pulled the handle open and entered the tote to rummage for the Twix candy that she had packed in the morning. Finally, the crackle of the wrapper alerted her that she had found it, and she pulled it out with a smirk. Twix had always been her favorite candy; no doubt about it. Allie began to open it and pulled one of the sticks out to offer to Alessandra. She gave her friend an inquiring look that read 'want some?' and pulled out the other stick for herself. Well, my day has been absolutely boring so far, and I hope that it'll be a lot more interesting later on. A person can only survive boredom for a couple of hours, you know? She laughed and shrugged half-heartedly.

Alessandra laughed a bit “Yea just a little drama” She said “But I guess everything comes with a price….including friendship” She said the ending part softer and mostly to herself. She loved Emily to pieces but sometime she felt like telling her to get a life and stop being so overly dramatic. She just didn’t like constant drama in her life because of one person she had known forever.
She looked when she pulled out the twix and took one of the sticks and smiled a bit “Thanks” She said , she had always been a polite person apologizing and saying please and thank-you. She was just always grown up that way and listened “Yea it seems like it has been really slow today” She said as she looked around the barren waiting room which was normally over flowing with people. She turned back to Alexis “Yea its getting to be really boring around here….but I am sure something exciting should happen before out shift is over” She said , it was a hospital after all, someone somewhere had to break something or get injured today.

MAYBE YOU WERE LOOKING
Lexi smiled softly at the response about friendship. She had a lot of close friends herself, but hadn't been in contact with them so much lately, and wondered what they were all up to at this very moment. After Alessandra took the offered stick of Twix candy, she smiled and crunched the empty wrapper in the trash can, then taking a second bite out of her own bar. Mmm hmm; no problem. She replied to the given 'thank-you' and then listened quietly as her co-worker continued on. Yeah, I'm surprised that it's so slow. Usually this place is packed with sick people. She shuddered, remembering the Monday of the past week that all the seats were taken, the walls were leaned against, and a group even stood outside. At least she had taken all of the necessary vaccinations to be immune to any diseased before she started work. Anyway, I'm hoping something will come up. She stated before finishing off her delicious chocolate. With a suck on her index finger, she cleaned the rest of the stickiness off with a napkin and then checked her assignment box for any other work to do.
BUT YOU WEREN'T REALLY SEEING

Alessandra finished off her candy, then she realized something. She totally forgot about the file she had searched found endlessly before she found it, sometimes she could get so side tracked of what was really important that point in time. Especially when something else or someone else came up. She nodded “Yea me too” She said as she looked around and saw someone walk past the front door her hopes getting build up then watched them walk straight not even looking at the hospital and sighed a bit. She looked down at the mess on her hands and grabbed a napkin and wiped it off. “Do we have any other assignments for today?” She asked as she saw her walk over to the box.

EVERY TIME YOU GO TO SLEEP AT NIGHT
Alexis followed Alessandra's gaze toward the door and watched hopelessly as a person walked passed the doors of the hospital. She wondered if they were allowed to wander the building once they were done with everything. Emerald eyes flickered around the room, finding only a couple of people waiting around in their seats and a little boy at the drinking fountain. Nope, nothing interesting still. After finding nothing else in the box, Allie strode back to her seat and shook her head in response to Alessandra's questions. Naw, we don't have anything else to do. She answered, then checked her watch for the time, which was approximately 1:16 p.m. Do you think we're allowed to take our break now? She pondered aloud at her acquaintance with a questioning look. Maybe it was alright... but then where could they go? Visit a patient; go shopping at the mall, take a walk on the beach, hang out at Moe's, or stop by at school? She had no idea and was open for as many as possible.
I WONDER WHAT YOU HIDE BEHIND CLOSED EYES

Alessandra nodded at her reply and sighed a bit "Today is really boring"She said as she finished typing her file. She locked it password protected and then closed it down. She heard her question and shrughed a bit "I guess we could"She said softly as she glanced down at the time at the bottom of the computer screen "There's nothing to do anyway..we might as well take it now"She said then thought about where she wanted to go. "Where do you wanna go?"She asked

THE PRETTIEST PEOPLE DO THE UGLIEST THINGS
Lexi saved her current file and double-checked that it was still there. When dealing with hospital things like this, it was always better to be safe than sorry. She logged off and reached for the bottle of water to the right of the computer, taking a few sips before capping it and putting it back in its original place. Clear, bright eyes once again danced around the waiting room and lingered a while at the main entrance, hoping that someone would walk through and bring some excitement. It was on boring days like these that she realized that she'd prefer a crowded hospital to an empty one most of the time. She turned her attention back to Alessandra as the other girl spoke and shrugged at the question. I dunno; do you have any ideas? Another scan around the room. We can either stay here, go to the mall, the beach, Moe's, or school... I can't think of any other places. She turned back to her friend and gave a half-hearted smile in defeat.

Alessandra looked at her and looked around the room, she certinatley didn't want to stay here. It was still going to be boring. She heard the word school, that was another big no-no. She didn't hate school but she didn't like it that much either. She sighed a bit "Umm how about we shop and then we can go grab some coffee"She suggested.
Those were her two favorite things shopping, what girl didn't like shopping and spending daddy's money around this place. And Coffee was what keps Alessandra on her toes and perky, she didn't need anymore perkiniess beucase that was the pushing the brink of getting on peoples nerves but she really didn't care, well much.

TRYING TO BE SOMEONE YOU AREN'T
Alexis grinned sheepishly as she noticed Alessandra observe the room with dismay. She should've guessed that staying here was definitely out of the question. School also seemed uninteresting as of now, since no one was probably there anyway. A smile brushed across her chapsticked lips at the given suggestion, and she nodded with agreement. To Shoppa le Grande it is. She confirmed with a giggle. It had been quite a while since she had last been to the mall, and a little shopping wouldn't do any harm for today. However, she had to be careful and wise about spending money, since her mother had to work multiple jobs just to keep their lives steady. She grabbed her keys from off of her desk, threw them in her tote bag, stood up to push her chair in, and waited for Alessandra.

Alessandra nodded "Yep!"She said excidetly and got up from her seat. She loged off the computer and pushed her chair in. She ran her fingers thru her hair one last time and grabbed her cell phone that was sitting on the desl, before she forgot it it wouldn't be the first time and grabbed her purse and threw it in there.
She looked at Alexia and smiled "Lets go"She said as she made her way from behind the desk and to the door of the hospitsal. Her Jimmy Choo's clicked on the tile floor she had a sudden bounce in her step as soon as she heard the word shopping.
