&&We're all just running in circles, really.
Hollie made her way down the hallways of Baltimore, taking her sweet time before pausing in front of her locker. This seemed to be a daily routine lately, and she was beginning to get rather fed up with it. She always did have a short patience, and got tired of doing the same thing over and over again. Yep, she liked to break the patterns.
She pushed her reddish-brunette hair away from her eyes and pulled a book out of her locker before shutting it. Turning around so she was facing the hallway, she leaned up against the metal door, and took a deep sigh. From the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of movement in the near empty hall. She pulled herself straight up again to face whoever else was there.

She sighed as she walked through the hallway. Yeah, school was as she thought it would be. Endless and boring. She walked up to her locker and grabbed a book, putting up another book. She turned to see her friend, Hollie.
She smiled and walked up to her. "Hey, Hollie. What's up?" She asked. But, she already knew. Hollie and her were alike. She would be bored and tired of school. Yeppers. And, who wasn't?
Everybody hated school... except for the nerds... they loved school. But, other kids hated it. Work, work, work... Amy didn't want to use her brain... she wanted to use it when she wanted to, not be forced to use it.
She smirked, "I'm not having any fun... it's so boring... I wish I could go back to my dorm and sleep." She laughed.

&&It's like we can't get off this ferris wheel, it just won't stop.
Hollie's bored expression changed to a slight smile when she recognized the 'whoever' to be Amy. "Ello, Amy." She greeted, "Same thing as always." She remembered how in middle school, she loved coming to school. Not because she liked school really, but because her and her friends would act totally retarded, and have fun every minute until the bell rang, signaling they could go home. Everyone probably thought they were on something, but it wasn't like she cared. She was content. But now, if she were to act like that, things wouldn't be so easy. Poor Hollie had to grow up and step into the real world, were you couldn't brush everything off with laughter.
"I second that thought." She answered, laughing lightly.

&&._hatemetomorrow.
Amy remembered back to middle school where she could act stupid, and be funny, and be considered cool. She still acted that way some times, she considered it cool to her friends and herself, but, of course, she was an outcast. A punk.
"Man, my first day and I'm already fricken hating it here," she said, with a yawn. It was killing her. She wished she could be somewhere else. At the gym, beach, dorm, anything except the school.
But, thats how life was. Ya got your ups and downs and can't handle what you get. You get an 'up' and you have fun with it... you get a 'down' and you try to make it better... oh well is how Amy looked at it.

&&I'm trying to make it slow down.
"Don't we all?" Hollie replied with another sigh. She wished that just for a moment, she go back to being her twelve-year old self again. Then, she might be able to make through the days with none of her tired-out expressions. The worst part of it all, was the fact that she knew she could never be that kid again. Never, ever again. "But after school is always fun." Hollie suggested, with a tone of hope in her voice. That's how life rolled lately, 'suffer' through classes and then have your fun afterwards. Just like that, a big circle.

&&._hate mefor allthe thingsi didn'tdo foryou. She smiled. "Yeah, after the agonizing pain of working until your brain bleeds, you can have fun." She laughed. "I just want to go back to when I was a kid. In middle school. It was fun. Man, Junior High was fun. Better than this hell." She said.
She pulled her notebook out of her backpack and a pen. She wrote on it and tore the piece of paper out. It read:
My MySpace: www.myspace.com/_shadow|angel_ My cell: 212-6635 My email: xxx_thebeautyinsidethebeast@baltimorea.com
"It's got my MySpace, cell number, and email on it, so we can catch up and complain online after school." She laughed and put her notebook back in her bag.

&&Everytime I try, I just end up right back where I started.
"Oh, I know. I miss being a complete retard, and everyone still loving me." She ended her words with a frown, before letting a quiet laugh out. She accepted Amy's paper, folded it, and slipped it into her back pocket before returning her attention. "Will do. Lately, complaining is what I do best." Yes, somehow Hollie had become a complainer, and she admitted it. But could you blame her? Or anyone for that matter.
"I'll give you my stuff later when I get on." She continued, with a half-smile. Hollie was no social butterfly, but her cell and email inbox were her best friends. Ha.

Amy laughed at her statement. "Yeah, so do I." She said. "But, of course... getting laughed at doesn't hurt me much anymore, so I still act like that," she laughed.
She also laughed at Hollie's next statement. "Complaining should be a sport." She laughed at her own joke. She had always laughed at herself. No matter if it wasn't funny. She laughed at herself to make it funny.
She smiled at her last statement. "Okay. I'll be looking for ya." She said. She coughed. "Uh, oh." She cursed. "I hope I'm not sick. If I get sick, I can't go to school." She said. She hit herself in the chest. "What am I thinking?!" She laughed. "But, really, I don't want to get sick. I don't like make-up work. We've never got along." She laughed.

&&Each time it seems to get worse.
Hollie grinned. "Yeah so do I, but I don't think people love me for it anymore." She stated.
"You know, if complaining was a sport, I bet our school could win all the competions. I would probably even join the team." She joined Amy with her laughter. It was a widely known fact that Hollie was not a sporty person. She wasn't a team person either.
"Make-up work is bad. He's not my friend either. It's his fault I have a D in history." She continued, then getting lost in thought for a moment. Her mother barely remembered who she was, but she still chewed her out when her grades slipped. "But anyways, sounds good." She concluded her part with a nod.

Amy smiled. "Yeah. It seems that make-up work kills me as well. At my last school I missed a lot... my grade was lo-ow." She laughed. She looked at the clock.
"Bell's about to ring. Maybe I shoulder be going." She said. She put her backpack on and smiled. "Meetcha in the front lawn after school?" She asked.

&&But I'm still holding on.
Hollie smiled and pulled the strap of her bag further up her shoulder. "Have fun, Ammmyyyy." She said with a grin, stretching the name.
"After school. Front lawn. Gotcha." She repeated, with one more nod. "See's ya later." And with that, the bell rang, signaling the start of hell the day.

Amy smiled and turned around. "See ya in a bit." She said, walking towards her english class as the bell rung. The next bell to ring would be the tardy bell. It would ring in five minutes.
She turned down the five-hundred hallway and walked to room five-fifteen. Great, she breathed, seeing as all eyes were on her. [/sup]
