I'm a crazy disaster | save me from my misery & |
Obviously Cody liked his dad or else he wouldn't have responded to the threats of those guys who were telling him to steal the car. Although Jack couldn't say that she completely understood what they wanted with the car that someone stole, weren't they thinking that they would end up getting caught by the police? People always got caught, I hope you know that. "Did your parents know about the theats you were getting?" Jack asked, leaning her elbow against the table although she knew that it would leave a horrible mark there if she stayed that way for long. She always did things like that, keep her leg in one place for a long period of time and end up with this huge line pretty much inscribed into her leg for long hours. No matter what she did, she always seemed to end up with those annoying lines. "Of course they would take the cookie. Who wouldn't want it? Hey maybe the sad old librarian would like one.." Jack continued, returning the kick lightly under the table in his direction. She probably missed, as she always seemed to when aiming for things. No, Jack definately hit him, since she felt, strange enough, an electrical feeling from her foot up to her upper leg. Taking her leg back quickly, Jack wondered if he had a robotic leg or something. She wanted to believe that, but she knew the real reason as to why she felt that. The complete plan for ruining ones friendship.
let me fall apart.

”Nah I didn't want to get them involved,” he said, shrugging his shoulders a bit once again. “It was a lot like boot camp… in fact, just like boot camp. You’re there for sort of the same reasons; the only difference is juvie goes on your record while boot camp doesn’t. That and you get holidays in boot camp,” Cody explained a bit. Another first-hand experience he’d had.
“There are fights in juvie, but you know, if you get caught, your tail is staying there longer, and no one wants that really. Of course, a lot of things went on even though we were watched closely,” he said. Even though he’d been locked up, he still had an addiction to drugs for the first part of his time there. He’d satisfied the cravings, so it was obvious things got past the guards. However, thank goodness, he’d weaned himself off of drugs, and no longer used them.
He grinned. "You're so amusing." Cody gently kicked her again. "Hey Jack... i have to tell you something. Ever since we started to get to know eachoeth I felt as if... As if I wanted something more..." He mumbled looking at his feet.

&& chances are, you'll regret this;
so just beware;
Geeze somebody obviously knew what he was talking about. That was depressing, seeing as nobody should have to deal with juvie OR bootcamp. The thing was though, some people actually deserved to go to both of those, and some people wanted the people who were supposed to be in there but didn't want to be locked up [wow] to actually stay locked up. If that made sense. "I'm sorry. Nobody as awesome as my buddy Cody should have to go through things like that. Unless you did something in another life to deserve this." Jack didn't believe in karma and afterlife and stuff like that of course. She did believe in heaven and hell though. Jack's father had been catholic but she had somehow found her way to christianity- But don't get me started with religion because that conversation would pretty much never end.. Jack smiled proudly as Cody called her amusing, even though she knew he was probably just being sarcastic or something. She took most things as a compliment, when they weren't supposed to be compliments at all. Jack was going to say something about his shoes and how hard they seemed at the moment they collided with her leg just to make him feel bad, but when his face turned serious and then embarassed, she knew she should probably get off that topic and become serious. "Something more meaningggg.." Wait was he saying what she thought he was saying? Pth heck no that was impossible. Jack was always the friend, remember? Never the GIRL friend but the friend who just happened to be a girl. See how annoying this is?
she's out to kill.

Hearing her talk, he paused a moment before answering it. "I dunno... I stole something Jack. And it wasnt like a candy bar either. Cody said.
He was opening up like a book; he hated it. Then again it was somewhat refreshing. However, everything he was telling her, was everything he was planning on talking to his twin about. Maybe he was just trying it out to see how it sounded? Or maybe he just really needed to open up to someone, and since Lizzie wasn't anywhere to be found, and since Jack seemed to be someone not to throw what he was sharing back in his face... it just worked. Hopefully he wouldn't regret it later on.
"I dunno... Like be my girlfriend?" He asked not leaving his shoes.

[♥] IT'S JUST YOU AND ME NOW, LOVE.
Well at least ONE of them was able to get those words out. Wait, that meant that he liked her, right? Obviously so. Completely ignoring the answer he gave her about the military or his family or whatever they were talking before, Jack focused on the other answer. Although it came out as more of a question, Jack still probably wouldn't call it one. Would this ruin their friendship if they broke up? Could Cody assure her that they wouldn't break up? I mean, Jack was just now admitting to herself that she liked Cody. She had liked him for a long while, probably since the moment they first started talking. But she hadn't admitted it to herself until about five minutes ago. Jack wasn't sure that she was ready to have a relationship with one of her good friends, since it could completely ruin things. On the other hand, they could completely skip the getting to know eachother part of the relationship, right? Why not give it a try? "You have to promise me two things though Cody." Jack replied, taking a deep breath and letting it out quickly. It was supposed to come out slow but it was like her breath couldn't wait to escape her lungs or something. "If we try this, you can't get too mad at me for being Jack because I make a lot of mistakes. And you have to promise me that this wont ruin our friendship, I mean if we break up. Because I know how tired people get of me." Jack added after breathing out. It kind of made her light headed for a moment, but it cleared up after a while and she didn't feel like she was going to pass out or something right in the school library. The librarian would probably shush her for falling on the ground.

He wasn't playing fake very well today. Not at all, really. He had basically just spilled the things he kept quiet, to Jack. Cody kept arguing with himself; he couldn't decide if being open was good or not. Ah well, too late now, might as well not bother thinking about it.
Taken back a bit by her promises, he didn't say anything at first. He pondered it a moment, then finally replied. "I promise," he smirked. Not too great of a reply, but it was better then none at all. From their conversation thus far, Cody was pretty sure the two would become a good pair. It was odd, none of his other friends back at home had been like Jack. They'd been- and still were- loyal to the death, but they encouraged him to do bad things. Jack didn't seem like she'd be like that.
"So...," Cody started. "Want a cookie?" he grinned. He felt like a sissy, but didn't mind it all that much in this situation.

A New Thing?
Jack wasn't going to go as far as making Cody sign a legal document or anything, that she could snatch out of nowhere and shove in his face screaming 'see? you DID sign it. you broke your promise.' Jack was going to hold him to his word, because he had promised. No legal documents needed. "Okay." Jack said simply with a smile. Wait was that it? Did that mean that they were going out now that he had said I promise? Nothing seemed any different, really. Maybe going out with someone was like a birthday. Jack's father always asked her 'do you feel any older?' as soon as she woke up on her birthday, but Jack never felt any different. She wondered if her father did, wondered if she was missing out on this wonderful feeling of being old or something. "It depends. Is it hairy or thrown up?" Jack asked, raising an eyebrow and picking up the pen that she had just accidentally thrown a few feet away from her. Hope the librarian hadn't seen that, or else she would be accused of littering or something. Jack did wonder if they were going out now but didn't want to act like a blonde and ask, in case it was obvious.
Or Time Well Wasted?

Even though Cody appeared to be spilling his guts, what he'd said thus far hadn't even been the half of it. His past was much more complicated then him being looked at as the bad twin, making him act out, then get thrown in juvie. Things didn't work like that. However, those were things he truly would keep to himself for the time being. It wasn't necessary information, though it did explain a lot about why he was the way he is. That'd come another day though, perhaps.
"No Jack, it would be a shiny brand new one." He laughed. "And I even would get you the biggest one they have."

[♥] STAY WITH ME.
Bleh, a shiny cookie. Jack thought with a small laugh herself, trying to keep it down, yet again, for the librarian. Truthfully, the lady scared her. I mean, if I had that librarian face thing going on, people would be scared of me too. Annnnnyways. "A shiny large cookie for Jack. I feel special" Jack answered with a smile. Anything was better than writing notes aimlessly, including flushing her head down the toilet. But Jack would rather not do that..And anyways she was having fun talking to Cody about random things like cookies. How did they get started with that conversation anyways? Jack couldn't even remember at this point, it had been a while since the beginning of their conversation. Jack wasn't even going to bother to ask, maybe he would answer it himself through his actions after that day. The bell rang a moment after Jack retrieved her pencil, and and began to gather up her things. "Almost home free. I have stupid gym next though." Jack said with a grossed out face. Gym could be a serious downer when you don't have any athletic ability at all, or when none of the cute guys are in your class. But she kept her watch on, looking at it all the time and reminding herself of how much time was left until she could get on the bus and go home. Maybe if she was lucky the shower at her house was empty and she could take a ten minute shower. Thats what people want to do after gym..Or maybe its just a Jack thing. Pushing her pencil into the empty pocket of her backpack, she zipped the largest compartment up and put it on the table loudly. She didn't even care about the librarian anymore, she didn't have the time to worry about her and anyways she was leaving. No need to kick me out, I'm already leaving. Jack thought, looking over at the wrinkley woman.

Cody stood and smiled at her. "I have to go too. Im skipping study and going straight home." (Seniors can do that) "I'll call you later Jack-Jack." He said and made his way out of the library, and then out of the school. He had a girlfriend. A perfect, beautiful, fun girlfriend.
He would never hurt her. He loved her so very much. (blech muse is gone *pokes it, muse hisses and bites finger*

Wait he had her phone number? Memory lapse for just a moment, Jack knew that he had her phone number because they talked on the phone a lot. Not a lot to the extent that their phone bills were shooting up drastically, but you know what I mean. "Don't get caught then. Later kid!" Jack called, recieving many shushes from the people around her. Picking up her backpack she was pretty much glowing with happiness. This would work out, she knew it would. OOC;; Sorry to cut it short but I have to go :X

[♥] A FAIRYTALE WITH NO HAPPY ENDING.
OOC;; Its no problem, really :] IC;; Jack cheered, half into the phone and half not because she didn't want to make Cody go deaf. Having him not hear her would be horrible because she would go to tell him about something she did that day and he wouldn't be able to hear her. And trust me, sign language was out of the picture with someone who could barely speak english at the moment. "Awesome." Jack said cooly and without emotion. It didn't take her long to start laughing- Never able to keep a straight face. Being able to keep a straight face might come in handy at times, I must admit. "Hmm Friday? I might be Christmas shopping months ahead of time, followed by doing all of my homework, solving the problem of world hunger, and working for seventeen hours. Yeah sarcasm. Anyways, I'll be going to school, coming home for a bit and then working. But only for about three hours because they're giving me a break." Geeze Jack talked a lot. But that was part of her awesomeness, her charm, the thing that made her Jack. "Do you have plans on Friday?"
OOC;; And my posts are not amazing.

[♥] A CHANCE IN A LIFETIME.
Jack never really liked to dress up, unless it was unexpectedly, somthing she did randomly at school one day or something. Not when someone knew that she would be doing it; Then it just felt forced, as though people were onto her strange little Jack-like scheme. Not that she had one or anything, it was just nice to know that people didn't know every move she was taking. "Works for me." Jack said hesitantly, hoping that he wouldn't notice. Somehow she figured that he wouldn't catch the small, almost impossible to notice note in her voice that was saying 'hey I don't want to do what you just said and I'm going to stand up and say it!' The note was quite small and couldn't be heard because its voice was so small and high pitched. "Right now? I'm on break though and anyways I don't have a ride." Jack commented, looking at her watch to figure out how much more time she had at work. Quite a long time, to say the very least. Of course she would skip work any day to see him.
[♥] BUT MAYBE JUST A REGULAR CHANCE INSTEAD.

Cody sighed. "Jack... Come on babe. Can't you take a day of or somthin'? It's worth it." He was getting frustrated at the whole situation. First Jack can't get out of work. Now she didn't have a ride. He was trying to do something nice for her. And he was just guessing, but he could tell she was not pleased about dressing up.
