x.// Shes Ruining it all for Them
Nothing is better than food when you're completely starving. The thing was, Jack would have even eaten the cafeteria food at this point, she was so starving. You know that when you are a teenager and its summertime, you eat pretty much non stop, right? Well, now that it was no longer summer but still close enough where Jack could remember her eating schedule, she was hungry because she no longer had the ability to walk downstairs and grab a pear every other hour or something. This made Jack mad, making kids pretty much starve to death. School was like a hunger chamber or something to her, seeing as she usually ate non stop and now she wasn't allowed to even chew gum in class. How screwed is that? Jack moaned a bit as she walked down the stairs and made a left at the huge sign that read Cafeteria. The 'A' had some type of food on it, but you could still read it through the food..Whatever it was it seemed to be growing something green. Bleh. Walking into the cafeteria, Jack didn't even bother to think about who she would be sitting with for lunch; She would probably be labeled a loser or an outsider if she sat by herself but hey, she was new. What could she do, sit with a bunch of cheerleaders? Buying a few cookies and a small bottle of water from the vending machine, Jack sat down near the window, taking out her notebook. It was time to write again, since she HAD the time to do it at the moment. Besides, it wasn't like she had anyone to talk to at the moment.

&&Now I find myself in question.
Lunchtime had begun to seem like the most durable period of the day, which is funny considering how last year she hated lunch. Well, she liked the eating part, but she had despised the whole lable to table thing. Hollie did not like being labled in any shape or form.
Seeing as amazingly enough she wasn't too hungry today, she just bought a waterbottle before standing in front of the cafeteria. She scanned the room for somewhere to sit, her green eyes landing on a girl by the window. Seeing as she had never seen her before, and Hollie was quite observant, she decided she was most likely new...or something.
She made her way to the far side of the room, and stood before the supposed newcomer. "Do you mind if I sit here?" She asked, knowing she probably sounded like a character from one of those cheesy high school movies.

[♥] WHAT HURTS THE MOST.
Looking up from her spiral notebook which Jack wasn't really writing in at this point but instead drawing on, the teenager smiled and nodded her head. "Go ahead." Jack replied, taking her backpack off the seat in front of her and pushing it down at her left side on the ground. Although she probably should have looked where she was putting it first, since there turned out to be a huge puddle of something red exactly where Jack put her black backpack. "Crap." She mumbled unhappily, since she had a bunch of paper inside there and it would probably end up being red by the time she needed it. On top of that, Jack had used her own money to buy the stupid backpack- Not like it would stain or anything, but it would probably end up smelling like fruit punch until she washed it 39872498123 times. "Sorry.. I put my backpack in a puddle of juice." Pth, as if this girl cared. Well there was a chance that she did. Jack took the backpack out of the liquid and placed it on the OTHER side, where there was not a puddle.

&&She's guilty by association.
Hollie smiled and sat down in the newly opened seat. She twisted the cap of water bottle, not really paying attention to what she was doing. Some word mumbled from the girl's mouth, causing Hollie to look up suddenly.
"You know, these people are big-kids now. You think they'd have stopped doing that by now." She commented, after the explanation. Her attempt to be funny was failing miserably. Most of the time, Hollie never really cared what anyone thought of her. But during first impressions, she was incredibly aware of everything that came out of her mouth. She pushed her hair away from her eyes, before speaking again.
"By thee way, I'm Hollie." She introduced.

[♥] STAY WITH ME.
It seemed to Jack as though since these people figured that they were in high school, they probably thought they could do anything they wanted. Anything included making a mess out of the cafeteria or not eating all of their food. But that didn't seem fair to Jack, who had to buy the supplies that ended up getting completely ruined because of them. "I know right? They're past the age where they can get away with making 'cute messes'" Jack replied, taking a bite out of one of her cookies. It was chocolate chip, and still remotely warm. Maybe it had just come out of the oven or something; Jack was glad that she had gotten to the line at the time she did, seeing as the line was now almost to the back door that led outside for those who wanted fresh air when eating..That didn't seem like a bad idea, to eat outside, but Jack was already settled at this time and didn't feel like moving her stuff. "I'm Jack..Nice to meet you." Jack answered with a smile before biting into her cookie. She awaited for 'Isn't that a guy name?' or some cunning remark. She always got those when it came to introduction time.

&&its haunting how I can't seem to find myself again, my walls are closing in.
"Nice to meet you too, Jack." Hollie had to admit, she had never met a girl named Jack, maybe Jackie or something, but she decided not to explore the matter anymore. A name was just a name really, in her eyes. Hollie's name could be Marissa, but she'd still be the same person really. Although Hollie was content with her own name.
She continued to play with the cap of her water bottle as she spoke. "So you are new here, am I right?" She questioned, just to confirm her assumption true. Hollie would hate to be new. She remembered when she was younger, her and her mom used to move all the time. And she always loathed being the 'new kid'. But thank goodness, they weren't allowed to move anymore.

[♥] NEVER HAS TIME FOR HERSELF.
Hm..Maybe there was something on her face, like the scared out of her mind look, that Jack had forgotten to take off before she got on the bus that made Hollie assume that she was new. Everyone could always tell who was new, by something. Jack was always the one who could never figure it out and treated them as though they had been living in the town all their lives. Or maybe Jack just didn't pay attention to people whose faces didn't seem at all familliar to her. "Yeah..I'm new. How did you know?" Well it was obvious that this girl wasn't new herself, or else she probably wouldn't have known that. She had probably been in the town long enough to know who was new and who was not. "Was it the 'scared new girl' look, or have you just been in this town long enough to memorize all the old member's names and seek out the new?" Hey, it was just an assumption. And a seriously odd one at that but Jack figured she would throw it out there.

&&I'm convinced this is just too much pressure to take.
Hollie had been new enough to recognize the face of Jack's, although to her it didn't seem 'scared' really. But maybe she just had a different point of view, who knows?
She laughed at her remark, and answered. "Well sort of both. I haven't lived here for that long, but I'm good at remembering faces and your just didn't look familiar." Hollie had moved here in the middle of her Sophomore year, and was most likely here to stay until she graduated. Amen to that. When she wasn't with her friends, Hollie often fell rather silent, and having no reason to talk she had to do something. Hence her and her observant ways.

[♥] SEEING YOU ONCE AGAIN.
Jack looked around for a moment, seeing no familliar faces at all. She wouldn't be too good at recognizing people by their names or anything, seeing as she could never remember names. She would end up saying it wrong, or calling the person by a name that wasn't theirs. Which was how her second to last boyfriend had broken up with her- He had thought she was cheating on him because she called him another name, one that had just popped out. But she wasn't cheating on him, she was just idiotic enough to remember the wrong name. Match the name with the face, her father always said. But that never worked for her. "Well someone around her actually notices things." Jack said, unwrapping her second cookie and taking a small bite. "Everyone in homeroom was staring at me like I was from another planet or something.. But they didn't really count for observers since the teacher told them there would be a new student coming." Jack hated it when people did that. Why not let it be some type of surprise to have a new person in the class?

&&I've felt this way before, so i n s e c u r e.
The tip of Hollie's mouth went down, forming her mouth into a diagonal line. "I don't see why they do that. They just make things worst." She commented. She had always wondered what the teacher's were thinking, it just increased the awkwardness of being new.
"So do you like it here, so far?" For the most part, Hollie liked this school, even though she acted like it was torture. Well, it wasn't really the school, it was more of school in general. Actually, this school wasn't that bad.

x.// Shes Happy - For Now
Jack didn't see why they did it either, it kind of made people start creating their visual of the new person, expecting someone awesome or nerdy or completely different from everyone else. Most of the kids are dissapointed by the time they see that the new person is completely not what they were thinking, and their visual of that person is pretty much shattered. Anyways on with the story. "Yeah it's pretty cool here..Except for being the new kid and having to take gym in order to graduate." Which is pretty stupid- Taking gym to graduate, not being the new kid. Isn't it stupid though? Who cares if a kid can jog a mile? That wouldn't help Jack at all, since she's aspiring to become a writer when she went to college. Plus you don't even get to pick what you do for gym, so its usually the most embarassing thing that your over weight gym teacher can think of for the kids to do. 'Have you ever noticed that gym teachers are always a bit overweight? I think thats a bit ironic." Hey, Jack was always taught to say what she thought, and she always did that. A perfect example would be now.
OOC__ Sorry it took so long XP.
